activities » watersports

Languedoc-Roussillon has far more miles of free sandy beaches than anywhere in the western Med.

Indulge in a relaxing day at the beach or for a more active day, you’ll find most towns and villages on the coast hire out equipment for watersports, sailing or jet-skiing.

You can also enjoy kayaking and canoeing either in the mountains or along the coast.

For sea fishing, you will require no permit at all, but for fresh water fishing you'll need a permit from the local club.

For swimming, there are plenty of busy beaches as well as more sedate unspoilt coves and small bays.

And there's always AquaLand for the kids.
