Faulenzen, Tieren vom Ferienhof Namen geben, Stille, Flussrauschen, den Canigou
erklimmerm, kurven, Käse beim Nachbarn kaufen, lecker Essen in Tapis und
Rocabruna, Baguette zum Frühstuck, scrabblen, Kühe treiben, auf der
Terrasse die Sonne geniessen.
Ganz Besonders die Herzlichkeit von Ashley und
Simon, das Lachen von Sophia und die freunlichen Begenungen mit Grandma werden
uns wieder hierherführen.
A haven of peace and tranquillity especially after charging
around in the car seeing things. We appreciated your little touches like
the flowers and the lavender bags on the pillows. We felt most welcome as Simon & Ashley
are both thoughtful and kind. Thank you for lending us guide books and a
map. Your daughter Sophia is very sweet and fortunate to grow up in such a
special

and a perfect base to go exploring from. We also loved our hilarious
evening at the restaurant in Montferrer ... as Patrick says, how could Sophia

What a great
find! This was a real getaway from urban living … it was
lovely to wake up to the sun shining and have breakfast out on the terrace,
to look out to a fantastic view of green lush hillside, and the sound of the
stream below in the valley.
The gite was lovely and relaxing what a great space!
Ruby
and Josh have had a brilliant time, up at 9am ready to feed the cats … followed
by a quick ‘chat’ with Zouky.
Both Simon and Ashley have been super
hosts and full of enthusiasm to help us decide on day trips, advice on shopping
etc. THANKS AGAIN!
BTW … I will have to get out my butterfly guide, I
have never seen so many butterflies …

We have had a wonderful
time in this great location: fantastic weather, views, pool and a gite that
met all our expectations.
But there is more: lovely,
lovely hosts who were always available to help where needed.
We want to come
back and see even more of the mountains, catch up with the cats, and have
another wonderful time.
Shooting stares, warm rain, hot sun, thunder and
lightening, tiny mountain flowers, butterflies fluttering … Definitely
recommend all the walks highlighted and this includes the walk to the ruins
at Montferrer.

I wish that we could stay longer
even if it was only a few short days in this most beautiful of settings.
The
kittens and cats that were scattered around were lovely and were very sweet … Zouky
made a noise that would make you like him the second the ‘eeyore’ began!

would like to say to Ashley that the ‘No 1 Ladies Detective Agency’ was
one of the best books I have ever read and that you have introduced me to a
whole new writer that I love to bits.

We’ve had one of our best ever holidays
here. It’s
been thoroughly relaxing – a wonderful combination of lounging
and activity. The locality charming, and our hosts as helpful
as you could want. If you like your food, Can Po restaurant near
Camprodon
was fab – gourmet food in a welcoming relaxed atmosphere – and
Giselle at Montferrer café was charming to us and the kids.
Walks
and wildlife were another big plus. The notes that come with the
Gîte are excellent. If it is not too hot to walk just enjoy
the pool and large number of butterflies – I counted at least
14 species including the Scarce Swallowtail. Enjoy your stay!
(I’ve had an amazingly great time
and I would love to come back here! The pool was the best! I’ve
really enjoyed it here and I’ll never forget Zouky! [Evie])

on his hand; spotting a wild

Thank you for a wonderful
stay at Can Llouquette. The house is great and you seem to have
thought of everything. Weather was
also perfect and we can’t believe it’s October already.
The
recommended beach restaurant at Collioure was fantastic and le
Diamond Noir in Montferrer was also very good.
Please can you
pass on our thanks again to the man at the restaurant for the
loan of his jump leads when our car battery went flat!
The
restaurant at the bottom of the hill at Le Tech was well worth
a visit, if only to see what came next during the 5-course surprise
lunch!
The boys enjoyed their trip
to Spain for a game of golf whilst we enjoyed relaxing by the pool!
We
arrived back late yesterday afternoon feeling very relaxed.
